This year, OHLA and GALC are building stronger connections with the Akron Collaborative Against Human Trafficking, and together we want to develop programming that is helpful and works for hotels.

 

Legislators and law enforcement are taking an increasingly hard line as efforts to end trafficking expand.  The next phase of action includes lawsuits against hotels, with"the first among many to come" being filed last week in neighboring Pennsylvania.  We will discuss how we can work with partners in the collaborative to preempt such developments here and make a real difference in the community.

To ensure you are getting properly trained and qualified personnel, the Ohio Department of Public Safety (ODPS) sets standards that you want to ensure your hired security personnel meet.  An official from ODPS will provide a key overview on hiring private security in this important segment.
