Join us as we explore the psychology of why people resist wearing masks, why it's important, and how it affects interpersonal relationships, and how it applies to hospitality & management.

How do we read emotions if most of our face is covered and how one could use this information to compensate when communicating with others?

 

 

Speaker Spotlight - 

Dr. Ron Elizaga is an Associate Professor at Columbus State Community College. His area of expertise is Experimental Social Psychology, with a research focus on stereotyping and prejudice, cognitive construals, and other areas of social cognition. He earned his BA in Psychology from the University of Notre Dame, and his MA and PhD in Social Psychology from Ohio University. In 2015, he was awarded the CSCC Distinguished Teaching Award, and in 2016, was selected as the Honors Faculty Member of the Year. Dr. Elizaga is also a founding member of the Generation One Trailblazers (GOT) - a faculty resource group that advocates for first generation college students.
